Tennessee Titans CEO says WWE has committed WrestleMania 43 to Nashville

Nashville seems pretty confident it’s getting a WrestleMania sooner rather than later.

Besides WrestleMania 40 in 2024, there are no official plans for where WWE will host their biggest event in future years. But one major sports official says WrestleMania 43 may have its city.

In an interview with 104-5 The Zone, in reference to which events his team’s upcoming new stadium could host, Tennesee Titans President and CEO Burke Nihill said, “WrestleMania isn’t hypothetical. WrestleMania has already committed to 2027” — indicating that WWE’s biggest event of the year will eventually happen at the Titans’ new stadium.

The Titans recently received official approval to build their enclosed stadium in Nashville for football and other events, which notably includes “WrestleManias.” So, if not 2027, Tennessee is an inevitable location. The stadium will have a 60,000-seat capacity, too, so it’s more than fitting to host the event.

Construction begins in mid-2024, with a planned opening in 2027.

WWE has yet to announce the host cities for WrestleMania 41 and 42, so even if Tennessee receives the go-ahead for 2027, an official statement is years away. Plus, other cities will want their try at bidding to host the Grandest Stage of Them All, and it’s difficult to not see that happening first.

Lincoln Financial Stadium in Philadelphia will host WrestleMania 40, with the 2025 event’s location still in question. Minneapolis is reportedly a frontrunner, but nothing official may happen until WrestleMania 40 nears. The 2026 event’s rumored location has been quiet, however.

Cities are lining up to host the two-night extravaganza like the NFL Draft. If Tennessee is in for 2027, who knows which city will declare its intention to host WrestleMania in 2028?
