The Tennessee Titans were one of the unlikely success stories last year after appearing to be well on their way to collapsing following a 2-4 start to the season.
The team was mostly stagnant on offense before naming Ryan Tannehill the starting quarterback over Marcus Mariota in Week 7, beginning the turnaround that propelled them to the AFC Championship Game.
Tennessee kept both key pieces to the offense intact this offseason, signing Tannehill to a four-year extension worth $118 million and franchise tagging star running back Derrick Henry.
So, where did the Titans offense stand compared to the rest of the league last season?
According to Pro Football Focus, higher than all but one team.
The Titans ranked behind the New Orleans Saints, and ahead of the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers.

A big reason for this was the efficiency of the offense’s best players.
Tannehill ranked first in yards per completion (9.6), Henry ranked first in yards per carry (5.1) among backs with at least 200 carries, and A.J. Brown finished second in yards per reception (20.2)
Tennessee ranked 12th in total offense last season with a total of 5,805 yards, 21st in passing offense (3,582 yards) and third in rushing offense (2,223 yards). The Titans’ 25.1 points per game ranked 10th.
The Titans will aim to build upon their success and make a Super Bowl appearance this season after falling just one game short last year.
