Tennessee Titans’ A.J. Brown was elite at yards per route run in 2019

To say A.J. Brown had an impressive rookie campaign would be an understatement.

To say Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown had an impressive rookie campaign would be an understatement.

Brown passed the 1,000-yard mark in receiving with a total of 1,051 yards last season, placing him at 24th in the NFL in receiving yards and at the top of the rookie class.

With an average of 20.2 yards per reception, Brown ranked second in the NFL in that category, while also posting eight touchdown catches (and one rushing).

Brown has received all kinds of recognition for his success and ranked third in Pro Football Focus’ yards per route run (2.67) among wide receivers with a minimum of 50 targets.

Only the New Orleans Saints’ Michael Thomas (2.88) and Minnesota Vikings wideout Stefon Diggs (2.69) placed higher on the list.

Already having cemented himself as arguably the Titans’ best pass-catcher, we should only expect to see Brown grow more in Arthur Smith’s offensive scheme.
