For the first time since being selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft and emerging as one of the best young players in the game, Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown has made the NFLPA’s “Rising Stars List.”
According to the NFLPA’s official site, the list includes “top Rookies and Veterans poised to have breakout seasons, gain fan support and ultimately rank among the top-sellers of all officially licensed player merchandise.”
Brown was ranked No. 8 on the veterans version of the list, but no Titans draft pick made the rookie version. Here’s a look at the other nine players who made the cut on the veterans side along with the Ole Miss product.
- QB Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
- WR Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
- RB Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers
- WR Terry McLaurin, Washington
- RB Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts
- RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kansas City Chiefs
- TE Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
- WR A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans
- WR Chase Claypool, Pittsburgh Steelers
- TE Darren Waller, Las Vegas Raiders

Brown’s inclusion on this list makes a ton of sense, as he is on the precipice of being arguably the best player at his position in the NFL, which would make him a more household name for those outside of Tennessee.
The 23-year-old has totaled 1,000 yards through the air in each of his first two seasons, and did so in 2020 despite missing two games. His impressive campaign was rewarded with a Pro Bowl nod, the first of his career.
If the Titans enter the 2021 campaign with their receiving corps. as is, Brown should see even more than the 106 targets he received in 2020. Regardless, expect a career-year for the Titans star as long as he’s healthy.
