Now that the preseason is over after Saturday night’s finale against the Chicago Bears, the Tennessee Titans must begin making roster cuts to whittle down to 53 players ahead of the deadline on Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. CDT.
The Titans have already begun making moves, as the team parted ways with five players on Sunday, while also placing one on Injured Reserve and another on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
After those moves, the Titans now have 72 players on their active roster.
The caveat here is that players who are on the COVID-19 list don’t count towards the 53 if they remain on the list through final cuts, opening the door for the Titans to bring aboard another player in their spot for now.
Keep it right here for all of the latest moves, both official and reported, that Tennessee makes ahead of the deadline. We’ll also include any players who are placed on Injured Reserve and the COVID-19 list.
