While the high school football talent in Tennessee has taken major strides in recent years, the state seldom produces elite players at the quarterback position.
Ty Simpson may not hold the status of an elite signal-caller yet, but the Martin, Tennessee 2022 standout has done enough to earn a four-star rating from 247Sports and garner offers from programs including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Michigan.
Simpson announced that he has committed to the Under Armour All-America game for the 2022 recruiting cycle.

The Vols are chasing Simpson as well, looking to keep the 6-foot-2-inch, 185-pound pro-style quarterback in-state. Quarterbacks coach Chris Weinke and offensive coordinator Jim Chaney are the primary recruiters for Simpson.
