In the last 24 hours, the state of the 2020 college football season has been in question as multiple reports surface that some Power 5 conferences are considering a postponement of the season.
With the season in jeopardy, many players from prominent programs have taken to Twitter with the hashtag #WeWantToPlay in support of keeping student-athletes on campus to play football.

Presumed starters and key contributors to Tennessee’s 2020 roster such as Jarrett Guarantano, Alontae Taylor and Henry To’o To’o have all been active in the campaign to continue college football this season.
A UT newcomer made his voice heard as well, in wide receiver transfer Velus Jones Jr. from USC.

The next few days will be telling for the future of college football as a whole, but this messaging from players in Knoxville and across the country shows the vast majority of student-athletes are determined to make their voices heard, and play games this fall.
