Tennessee offered a scholarship to 2027 safety prospect Cooper Witten.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound safety is from Liberty Christian School in Argyle, Texas.
“After a great conversation with coach Josh Heupel, I am very blessed and grateful to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee,” Witten announced.
He is the son of former Tennessee tight end Jason Witten. Jason Witten played for the Vols from 2000-02, while also playing 17 seasons in the National Football League for Dallas and the Raiders.
He was a third-round draft pick in 2003 and was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
