Tennessee is only the second SEC program to offer Rivers, following Missouri.
Colorado, Houston, Florida Atlantic and Utah are also among other schools to have offered the 5-foot-9, 172-pound cornerback.
Although it is still early on in his recruitment, Rivers is rated a 3-star prospect by 247Sports, and the No. 70 cornerback in his recruiting class. Also a track and field athlete in high school, Rivers has demonstrated enough athleticism and upside to catch the attention of Tennessee defensive backs coach and defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley.
The Vols do not yet have any prospects committed to the 2022 recruiting class.
