Recently hired outside linebackers coach Shelton Felton is the primary recruiter for Willis, alongside defensive backs coach and defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley. Willis does not yet hold a star rating, but is a physical safety for his age.
Standing at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds, Willis is only a sophomore at Lee County High School. Tennessee was Willis’ second SEC offer, behind South Carolina. Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh and FIU have also offered Willis. Pitt was the first Division I offer, coming late in January.
Tennessee does not yet have a prospect committed to the 2022 recruiting class.
