Hicks committed to Ohio State shortly after announcing his offer from Tennessee.
A 6-foot-4, 215-pound athlete, Hicks rates as the No. 15 athlete in the country according to 247Sports, and the No. 3 player in Ohio for the 2022 class.
Hicks has experience at safety, cornerback, linebacker and wide receiver at Archbishop Alter High School.
He has a diverse offer list that includes schools such as Notre Dame, Miami, West Virginia, Florida State and several others. Tennessee is just the third SEC program to offer Hicks, joining Arkansas and Texas A&M.
The Vols will have work to do in prying Hicks away from the Buckeyes, but there is still plenty of time left in his young recruiting process.
UT does not yet have a commit in the 2022 recruiting class.
