Williams is a 3-star recruit according to 247Sports, the No. 66 safety in his class and the No. 16 overall player in the state of Oklahoma. Also a quarterback at Muskogee High School, Williams plans to play defensive back at the next level.
Oklahoma State has long been involved with Williams’ recruitment, while schools such as TCU, California, Colorado and Missouri have also offered the high school junior.
Defensive backs coach and defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley is Williams’ primary recruiter for Tennessee. The Vols currently have nine players committed to the 2021 recruiting class, with 3-star Chattanooga product Edwin White as the only safety.
