Although he is not highly regarded as a top prospect, Tennessee saw something they like in 2021 running back Jaylen Wright, extending a scholarship offer to the North Carolina native.

Wright is a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports, and only weighs in at 5-foot-10, 190-pounds.
It’s not a long list of offers for the junior at Southern High School, as Tennessee was the first SEC school on the board. Arizona State, Rutgers, FAU and Liberty are also in the running.
Wright rushed for 901 yards and five touchdowns in 2019, averaging just over 10 yards per carry. While his statistics and recruiting ratings do not currently jump off the page, he is certainly someone to monitor as Tennessee found him good enough to extend a scholarship.
