After Tennessee stepped in as the first SEC program to offer 2021 outside linebacker Byron Young, other major college football programs followed suit.
The Vols extended an offer to Young before Georgia, Auburn and Florida State.

Young is an unheralded product out of Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Georgia. At 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, he does not yet hold any ratings from the 247Sports Composite.
Although no primary recruiter is officially listed, Young tagged Tennessee outside linebackers coach Shelton Felton and tight ends coach Joe Osovet in his Tweet announcing the offer.
Tennessee’s 2021 recruiting class currently ranks No. 10 in the country, and No. 5 in the SEC.
