Tennessee has dipped into the west coast in hopes that 4-star athlete Ceyair Wright will join the Vols’ No. 3 ranked 2021 recruiting class.
The Vols officially offered the Los Angeles product on Sunday.

As a standout player in a large market like Los Angeles, Wright’s offer list is quite lengthy. He has not received a lot of SEC attention, however, the Vols join Arkansas and Ole Miss to offer Wright. Schools such as Oklahoma, Michigan, USC, Oregon, Florida State and several others have also offered the 6-foot-1, 175-pound athlete.
Wright is rated a 4-star by the 247Sports Composite, the No. 5 cornerback in his class and No. 8 player in California, despite being listed as an athlete. The rising senior at Loyola High School is a playmaker at both wide receiver and defensive back, but likely projects as a cover corner at the college level.
Also a track athlete, Wright displays impressive speed, with the length and ball awareness to excite college coaches. Tennessee will have to beat out several schools after coming on late, but securing Wright would be a boost to the 2021 recruiting class.
