The Tennessee Volunteers picked up a big commitment via the transfer portal Monday, as Charlotte guard Igor Milicic Jr. announced his commitment.
A player who originally began his collegiate career at Virginia, Milicic has spent the last two seasons at Charlotte, which included a breakout 2023-24 campaign with the 49ers. There, Milicic would average 12.8 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 1.7 APG, and 1.1 BPG on 48.7%/37.6%/81.8% shooting across 31 games, 30 of which he started.
For his collegiate career, Milicic has started 52-of-82 games between the two schools, averaging a combined 8.5 PPG and 5.1 RPG on 47.6% shooting. A 6-foot-10 forward, Milicic has also shot a combined 35.8% from three, as well as 79.3% at the free throw line.
Milicic is now the third addition to what is shaping up to be a talented transfer class for Tennessee, joining Ohio State’s Felix Okpara and Hofstra’s Darlinstone Dubar. All three are likely expected to make an immediate impact in 2024-25 for a Volunteers program that will have a notable amount of production to replace.
Charlotte transfer Igor Milicic tells me that he has committed to Tennessee.
