Tennessee has been busy recruiting out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore.
Defensive tackle Dominic Bailey was an early enrollee in the 2020 recruiting class, and 4-star outside linebacker Aaron Willis included the Vols in his top seven schools over the weekend. Now, Bailey’s former high school defensive line partner and Willis’ current teammate Katron Evans has released his top eight schools, with Tennessee in the mix.

It is an SEC-heavy list, with USC being the only school outside of the footprint. Auburn, Georgia, Alabama and Florida were also included.
Evans has an exceptionally thick build at 6-foot-4, 320-pounds. Listed as a 4-star by the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 10 defensive tackle in his class, Evans has the size and burst to make a quick impact on the college level. Tennessee has had to pivot in Evans’ recruitment, as former defensive line coach Tracy Rocker was listed as his primary recruiter before his departure to South Carolina. It is not clear who has been named as the new lead in Evans’ recruitment.
Jeremy Pruitt was taken with the way St. Frances Academy runs its program, commenting on it during his signing day presser after signing Bailey.
“I went and watched these guys practice and I thought it was the Pittsburgh Steelers out there at practice, their high school team was so big,” said Pruitt. “The guys he’s practiced against every single day are all guys that are probably going to college, so he’s going to be used to the wear and tear when he gets here.”
