Willis is a 6-foot, 200-pound outside linebacker that is listed as the No. 9 outside linebacker in his recruiting class, and the No. 4 player in the state of Maryland. His in-state Terrapins joined Tennessee as one of the schools listed, along with Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Arizona State and Texas.
Willis’ biggest strength at St. Frances Academy has been as a pure tackler, stopping the run and rushing the quarterback. Tennessee has recent experience recruiting at St. Frances Academy, as Willis’ former teammate, 4-star defensive tackle Dominic Bailey, was an early enrollee in the 2020 recruiting class.
Tennessee will have to beat out a handful of top college football programs to land the talented Willis, but at the moment they are still in the conversation. UT does not have any pure outside linebackers committed to the 2021 class, and Willis would be the highest-rated prospect in the group if he committed.
