The Vols join two current SEC powerhouses, LSU and Georgia.
Washington is a 6-foot-2, 220-pound prospect who is rated a four-star by 247Sports, and the No. 9 athlete in his class. Washington also received offers from Florida, Ole Miss and Nebraska.
Though he can play a few positions, Washington is an explosive pass rusher who racked up 17 sacks in his sophomore season for Cedartown High School.
Tennessee does not yet have a prospect committed to the 2022 recruiting class.
