Tennessee in the hunt to land 2021 wide receiver JJ Jones.

Wide receiver JJ Jones from Myrtle Beach released his top ten schools on Wednesday, narrowing down the choices for his signature as part of the 2021 recruiting class.

It is an impressive list of SEC and Power 5 programs, and Tennessee is included.

The Vols join Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi State and Arkansas in the SEC for Jones. Penn State, North Carolina, Michigan, West Virginia and Virginia Tech were also included.

One of the top prospects in South Carolina, Jones is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound wideout who 247Sports rates as a 4-star prospect. The 247Sports Composite lists Jones as a 3-star and the No. 70 wide receiver in the nation.

With size for his position, Jones brings consistent production at Myrtle Beach High School. Tennessee spent plenty of time in South Carolina recruiting 4-star Jalin Hyatt as part of the 2020 recruiting cycle, with wide receivers coach Tee Martin leading the charge. Martin is assigned as Jones’ primary recruiter as well.

The Vols have ten players currently committed to the 2021 recruiting class, with two wide receivers included.
