Tennessee has long been in pursuit for elite 2021 defensive lineman Payton Page from Greensboro, North Carolina. The Vols are now deadlocked with two other programs in the hunt for Page’s signature.

UT is the only SEC school left in consideration, as North Carolina and Clemson were included in Page’s top three as well.
A large, strong prospect, Page is a 6-foot-4, 360-pound interior defensive lineman that has been high on Tennessee’s priority list for some time. Recently hired defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh is Page’s primary recruiter, with support from former 247Sports National Recruiter of the Year and Tennessee inside linebackers coach Brian Niedermeyer.
Page is a 4-star on the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 10 defensive tackle in his 2021 class. Ranked the No. 66 overall player in the class, Page would be Tennessee’s highest-rated prospect in the group if he were to commit today.
