Tennessee’s 2024 football season came to an end on Dec. 21. The Vols were eliminated from the College Football Playoff by Ohio State in the first round.
Tennessee is now in preparation for the 2025 season.
Defensive back Jermod McCoy suffered a torn ACL during the offseason, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel.
The 6-foot, 193-pound cornerback appeared in 13 games for the Vols as a sophomore in 2024. He recorded 44 tackles, 0.5 tackles for a loss, four interceptions, 71 interception yards, 13 pass deflections, six punt returns and 59 punt return yards.
McCoy transferred to Tennessee from Oregon State ahead of the 2024 season. He committed to the Vols over Texas A&M.
McCoy appeared in 11 games for Oregon State during the 2023 regular-season. He recorded 31 tackles, two interceptions, seven pass deflections and one fumble recovery as a freshman for the Beavers.
