No. 16 Tennessee (31-14, 11-10 SEC) defeated Wofford (32-12, 8-4 SoCon), 13-3 in seven innings, Tuesday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Tennessee recorded its eighth consecutive victory.

Tennessee scored the first seven runs of the game against the Terriers.

After two scoreless innings, Tennessee led 3-0 in the third inning. Jared Dickey hit a two-run triple and scored on an errant pickoff throw.

Tennessee extended its advantage to 7-0 in the fifth inning. Blake Burke hit a two-run single and Christian Moore hit a two-run home run.

Wofford scored all of its runs in the sixth inning before the Vols scored six unanswered runs to end the game early via a run rule.
