Tennessee baseball ties series against Georgia

Tennessee baseball wins game No. 2 and ties the series against Georgia.

No. 5 Tennessee (22-5, 3-4 SEC) defeated No. 24 Georgia (22-4, 4-3 SEC), 16-11, on Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The three-game series is tied, 1-1. Sunday’s series finale is slated for 2 p.m. EDT and will be televised by SEC Network.

Blake Burke hit his 40th career home run with the Vols. He is tied with Luc Lipcius for most home runs in a career at Tennessee. Lipcius hit 40 home runs for the Vols from 2017-22.

Tennessee left fielder Dylan Dreiling went 2-for-3 and recorded two home runs, seven RBIs, three runs and one walk.

Kirby Connell (3-0) pitched five innings in relief for the Vols. He recorded two strikeouts.
