FRANKLIN — The University of Tennessee baseball team has offered a rising freshman from the Midstate.
Mark Harrell, who just finished eighth grade and is set to enroll at Independence High School, announced via social media that he had received an offer from the Volunteers.

Harrell is a versatile athlete. He plays second base, shortstop, outfield and also as a pitcher.
He plays his travel baseball for the California Baseball Academy and will participate in the Junior Future Games from July 29-Aug.1.
Harrell has also received an invitation to participate in an incoming Perfect Game Showcase.
