No. 9 Tennessee (2-0, 0-0 SEC) will open Southeastern Conference play on Saturday.
The Vols will play Florida (1-1, 0-0 SEC) at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT and ESPN will televise the SEC East matchup.
“Looking forward to going and playing a really good football team,” Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said ahead of playing Florida. “Great opportunity. You come to Tennessee because you want to play in these types of games and these types of environments. Sitting on primetime Saturday night. Great challenge in front of us, really good football team. They’re big, strong and athletic on both sides of the line of scrimmage. The skill players on both sides are really good. Great speed and will be a huge test for us.”
Tennessee announced its uniform combination against the Gators. The Vols will wear white helmets, white jerseys and white pants.
