Tennessee analyst hired as offensive coordinator at Kennesaw State

Tennessee offensive analyst joins Kennesaw State’s football staff as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Former Tennessee football assistant Jerry Mack enters his first season as head coach at Kennesaw State in 2025. Mack filled his offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach position with Tennessee analyst Mitch Militello.

Militello coached alongside Mack at Tennessee, serving as an offensive analyst, working with quarterbacks, from 2021-24. Mack was Tennessee’s running backs coach from 2021-23.

“We’re really excited to welcome these terrific coaches to our staff and the KSU Owl family,” Mack said. “These outstanding men are great teachers and recruiters and I’m looking forward to the impact that they have on our program and our student-athletes.”

Militello went to Tennessee after serving as an offensive graduate assistant at UCF for Josh Heupel.

Heupel was also offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Missouri from 2016-17. Militello served as a student assistant under Heupel with the Tigers.

Kennesaw State’s first game with Mack as head coach is slated for Aug. 30, 2025 at Wake Forest. The Owls compete in Conference USA.
