The Vols join Ole Miss, Georgia, Louisville, and Miami in the running. McGhee is a 6-foot-1, 162-pound prospect who also has offers from Alabama, Kentucky, Oklahoma and others.
Although 247Sports rates him as a 4-star, the 247Sports Composite lists McGhee as a 3-star prospect, the No. 28 cornerback in his class, and the No. 61 player in the state of Florida.
Tennessee defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach Derrick Ansley is McGhee’s primary recruiter. UT currently has the No. 3 2021 class in the country, but just one cornerback committed in 3-star Alabama prospect Jay Jones. The Vols have done well in the state of Florida, with four of its 23 commits coming from the Sunshine State, including 5-star outside linebacker Terrence Lewis.
