Tidwell, a freshman, pitched seven innings. He yielded six runs and seven hits, while striking out seven.
Camden Sewell pitched 1.1 innings in relief for Tennessee, allowing one hit, one walk and recording a strikeout.
Pitcher Redmond Walsh closed out the game for the Vols, retiring the final two batters and striking out one.
