The Cincinnati Bengals should have both star receivers Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Despite questionable tags on the final injury report, Higgins (hamstring) and Boyd (finger) sound like full-gos for the game.
Sunday morning, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the following on Twitter: “The #Bengals are expecting to have WR Tyler Boyd (finger) and WR Tee Higgins (hamstring) playing today, source said. Both are listed as questionable.”
It’s at least a little surprising given how cautious the Bengals have been with injuries this year and the fact it’s the 5-7 Buccaneers on the schedule. After Sunday, the Bengals close a critical three-game stretch against New England, Buffalo and Baltimore, so the team holding them out wouldn’t have been a shock.
Higgins missed most of last week’s game against Cleveland after re-aggravating an injury in warmups. Boyd is the most surprising, given what he revealed about the gruesome finger injury he suffered.
Regardless, both should play Sunday as the team looks to win a sixth in a row.
