Cincinnati Bengals rookie wide receiver Tee Higgins will get to put some special work in soon with former Bengals star Chad Johnson before training camp starts.
Johnson broke the news on his Twitter account, stating he’ll work with Higgins and other rookies like Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs in a few weeks.
The Higgins-Chad story has been a really fun one to watch all offseason.
Chad was mad Higgins fell out of the first round…until he landed with the Bengals. He then recruited Higgins, A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd and John Ross for workouts. He later gave Higgins his blessing to wear No. 85 with the Bengals, allowing the formation of a new “9 to 85” with Joe Burrow and Higgins.
We’ll surely see videos of these workouts if they happen as planned in a few weeks — and there aren’t many better ways for Higgins to get ready to be an impact rookie than by working with Chad.
Doing 1 on 1’s at DB against @jerryjeudy @teehiggins5 @__RUGGS & @_CeeDeeThree in 2 more weeks to ensure they’re ready for camp 🔒
