Tee Higgins TD catch in overtime keeps Bengals alive in AFC playoff hunt

The Bengals remain alive in the AFC playoff hunt thanks to Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins

A stirring Saturday game between the Denver Broncos and Cincinnati saw the Bengals get an overtime touchdown on a pass from Joe Burrow to Tee Higgins for a 30-24 victory.

The win was the Bengals’ fourth straight and kept them in the AFC wild-card race. A win or tie would have given the Broncos the final AFC playoff spot.

The game was seesaw and it saw the Broncos get a TD with eight seconds left in regulation on a pass from Bo Nix to Marvin Mims Jr.

The PAT tied the game at 24. For a moment, it looked like Sean Payton was contemplating going for a two-point conversion and the win but he opted to kick the PAT.

The teams had multiple possessions in the extra session. Bengals kicker Cade York had a 33-yard field goal attempt for the win but hit the left upright.

A Broncos drive stalled and Joe Burrow led the game-winning march that concluded with 1:07 left on a three-yard pass to Higgins.

Higgins had 11 catches for 131 yards and three touchdowns in the dramatic win.

The Bengals face the Steelers in Week 18. The Broncos play the Kansas City Chiefs. The Indianapolis Colts also figure into the mix.
