The Cincinnati Bengals have huge hopes for Tee Higgins as he heads into year two, as do fans.
And some outside onlookers aren’t exactly sleeping on Higgins, either.
Take Marc Sessler of NFL.com, for example. When tasked with zeroing in on a first-time Pro-Bowler for each team in the league, he hit on Higgins for the Bengals:
“Offensive coordinator Brian Callahan also declared that Higgins is “going to play a huge role” in the offense after finishing his promising rookie year with a 67/908/6 line that should only grow in 2021. There’s plenty of mouths to feed in Cincinnati, but Higgins is poised to shine beside Chase and Tyler Boyd.”
It certainly feels like Higgins is only just getting started. Last year, after all, an unfortunate injury ended his season early and stopped him from breaking franchise records set by Cris Collinsworth.
That, after the coaching staff made it pretty clear they felt he was a first-round prospect when they made him the first pick in 2020’s second round.
Now paired with names like Ja’Marr Chase and with a year under his belt, Higgins could certainly be a contender for some individual honors next season.
