Tears of the Kingdom’s Koroks are getting the short end of the stick

The Tears of the Kingdom Koroks just want to find their friends, but players have a different, usually unpleasant, fate in store for them. Fans are making some outrageously creative – and sometimes just outrageous – Tears of the Kingdom creations, and a substantial number of them are devoted to making life miserable for the lil’ wood sprites. Some get roasted. Some fly into the abyss, never to be seen again – at least until they respawn – and some get rounded up rodeo-style and dragged through town.

Horrible as it sounds, no one actually gets hurt. Only enemies take damage in Zelda games, and since Koroks aren’t programmed as enemies, they just come along for the ride. Whether they ever get reunited with their friends, however, is another matter.
