Team USA bounces back with win over Argentina

Kevin Durant’s 17 points leads Team USA to an exhibition win against Argentina.

It’s been a long time coming for Team USA, but they are now officially back in the winning column. After losing their first two exhibitions to Nigeria and Australia, the red white and blue defeated Argentina 108-80 on Tuesday. Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal led the United States with 17 points.

Not only did defense stand out for Team USA, but the offense was clicking on all cylinders. 108 points is the most points scored by this squad throughout the three exhibitions. The win also stands out more because Argentina is currently the fourth ranked team in the tournament.

This is certainly not the end of the road though for Team USA. They get their rematch against Australia on Friday in another exhibition. Two days later, they will match up with Spain before finally heading to Tokyo. There, the team will begin their Olympic run against Rudy Gobert’s France squad.
