Today NFL.com put out their rankings of all 32 rookie classes. They put the Raiders at 7th in the rankings. While that’s still better than Pro Football Focus’s ridiculous 13th ranking of the Raiders rookie class, it may still not be as high as it should be.
Raiders rookie tight end Foster Moreau had a pretty good response to today’s ranking. He didn’t use opinions, he laid out a few rankings he thinks prove pretty positively that the Raiders rookie class should be ranked higher.

Best in class in rushing yards, receptions, scrimmage yards, TDs, and sacks is damn impressive.
Those numbers kind of speak for themselves. The Raiders had the should-be Offensive Rookie of the Year in Josh Jacobs and a legit contender for Defensive Rookie of the Year in fourth round defensive end Maxx Crosby.
Not only that, but they pulled seven starters out of that draft — Clelin Ferrell, Jacobs, Johnathan Abram, Trayvon Mullen, Crosby, Moreau, and Hunter Renfrow. That’s out of nine total picks. Oh, and they also pulled starting fullback Alec Ingold out of undrafted free agency.
The one big knock on the class is that Ferrell didn’t have a great rookie season after being the fourth overall pick. But how can his underachievement overshadow the work of the other six starters, half of whom were drafted in the fourth round or lower? I don’t think so. The numbers also suggest that.
