KNOXVILLE — The University of Tennessee softball team recently picked a verbal commitment from an underclassman.
Taylor Pannell, who is an infielder at Rock Island High School, announced on a social media post via Twitter that she made a verbal commitment to play for the Lady Vols in Knoxville.
She is a junior in high school and she is part of the Class of 2022.

She tweeted on Monday:
“I am proud to say that I have decided to verbally commit to the University of Tennessee to further my academic and athletic career. I want to thank my family and my coaches for getting me where I am today. GO VOLS.”
She is a First Team Extra Inning All-American and can play both shortstop and third base. The future Lady Vol originally committed to Auburn in eighth grade.
