Madden hasn’t been cool since Richard Sherman was on the cover and they stopped truly upgrading the game engine a long time ago. Nevertheless, people still buy the game every year and even some players remain fans. Yesterday, Bills quarterback Josh Allen was revealed as this year’s Madden cover athlete, so the newest version of the game is all the talk on Twitter.
Second-year Seahawks cornerback Tariq Woolen has just one request for the developers at EA Sports, which he shared on Twitter last night.
I just want my player to look like me ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ https://t.co/Mey3WwLnJa

This is a familiar song we’ve heard from other players before.
For one, Seattle’s star free safety Quandre Diggs has made an annual habit of blasting Madden for the way his player looks in the game. Perhaps nobody has a better case to complain than 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, who was briefly represented by a black man in one version.
In any case, the player ratings for last year’s game were released in mid-July, so we should expect a similiar time-frame for Madden 24. The game itself is scheduled to be released on August 18.
