Mack Brown and the UNC football program have just two commitments in the 2023 recruiting class but the pursuit of recruits is starting to heat up.
UNC is still establishing its top targets on the recruiting board as well as adding more targets along the way. And one of the latest recruits offered by UNC has football bloodlines.
Four-star linebacker Troy Bowles is the son of Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles and one of the top recruits in the country. Bowles is ranked No. 44 overall, No. 3 linebacker and the No. 11 player in the state of Florida per the 247Sports rankings. He has a total of 41 offers and now the Tar Heels are getting involved.
UNC is the latest team to offer Bowles, entering the recruitment last week:

While UNC is involved, the Tar Heels have some tough competition in this recruitment.
Georgia, Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, and Oklahoma are teams who have offered Bowles so far.
