Mack Brown and the UNC football program have officially entered the race for one of the top recruits in the 2024 cycle. On Friday, the Tar Heels offered five-star receiver, Jeremy Smith, becoming the 39th team to do so.
Smith is a Florida native that is not only one of the best players at his position but one of the best in the 2024 class overall. He ranks No. 10 nationally, No. 3 wide receiver and No. 5 player in the state of Florida per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
The Tar Heels have shown interest in Smith but are now in pursuit with the offer. But if they want to pull him out of the Sunshine State they are going to have to win tough recruiting battles against Miami, Ohio State, Alabama, USC, Florida, Florida State, LSU and Michigan among many others.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound receiver should see his recruitment pick up even more moving forward and he will be a priority recruit for a bunch of programs.
