Tar Heels make top 6 for 2024 running back

The UNC football program has made the top six for this three-star running back in the 2024 recruiting class.

Mack Brown and the UNC football program took a step forward in the recruitment for a three-star running back this week.

Class of 2024 recruit Anthony Carrie has a total of 42 offers in his recruitment, including from North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida, LSU, and Miami among others. But now he’s ready to focus on a final six.

Carrie announced via Twitter that his recruitment is down to Noth Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Notre Dame.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Carrie plays at Carrollwood Day out of Tampa, Florida and is ranked No. 192 nationally, No.14 at his position and the No. 28 player in the state of Florida per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

Carrie did take a visit to UNC on June 16th and the Tar Heels could be a team to beat in this recruitment. Landing Carrie would be a boost to UNC’s class and add another piece to the backfield for Brown’s offense.

North Carolina currently has five commitments for the 2024 class, holding the No. 21 class early in the rankings.
