Tar Heels make cut for three-star tight end

The UNC football program has made the cut for a three-star tight end in the 2024 recruiting class.

Mack Brown and the UNC football program took a step forward in the recruitment for a 2024 recruit on Monday night.

Three-star tight end prospect Korey Duff Jr. trimmed his list of 22 offers down to a final seven as he moves forward with his recruitment. Duff Jr. took to Twitter to announce that he will focus on North Carolina, Miami, Syracuse, Rutgers, UCF, Texas and Texas A&M.

The 6-foot-5, 207-pound Duff Jr. is a Melville, New York native that is a big target for some programs, including UNC in his recruitment.

The three-star prospect is ranked No. 21 at tight end and the No.2 player in the state of New York per the 247Sports recruiting rankings. He has not set an official date just yet but he will be on UNC’s campus for a visit on June 9th.

Prior to that, he will be on Rutgers’ campus on June 2nd for an official visit.

As of now, Miami does have the lone crystal ball prediction for the tight end with it coming from national recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong.
