‘Tank for Tua’ Week 10

Week 10 of the NFL regular season not only shook football fans, but the ‘Tank for Tua’ rankings as well. The Dolphins are on a win streak, the Bengals are still winless, the Patriots haven’t won a game in November and the 49ers lost their first game …

Lamar Jackson handed the Bengals one of the ugliest losses of 2019 in Cincinnati, but we can blame that on the defense.

However, we can blame the lackluster offensive performance on rookie quarterback Ryan Finley.

In Finley’s NFL debut start, he posted 16 completions off of 30 attempts for 167 yards, one touchdown and a single interception.

After benching veteran starting quarterback Andy Dalton, the Finley experiment did not go according to plan.

There’s not much to break down and analyze when it comes to the Bengal’s quarterback situation. To put it lightly, they don’t have one as of right now.

Being the only winless team in the NFL means that they are the sole possessors of the No. 1 overall draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Much like how we discussed with the Redskins having lots of holes to fill, the Bengals are in need of help on both sides of the ball, but finding a quarterback that can affectively run the offense is needed to field a competitive team.

Drafting Tagovailoa may very well be the first step in the right direction for Cincinnati to turn around their organization and open up a new era for Bengals football.
