‘Tank for Tua’ Week 10

Week 10 of the NFL regular season not only shook football fans, but the ‘Tank for Tua’ rankings as well. The Dolphins are on a win streak, the Bengals are still winless, the Patriots haven’t won a game in November and the 49ers lost their first game …

The Redskins had a BYE week in Week 10, so I suppose if there’s no game to play, there’s no game to lose, right?

Being 1-8, there’s a lot to criticize with this Washington team.

There’s plenty of room to improve on both sides of the ball, but the situation they have a quarterback must be addressed first.

In Week 9, 2019 Heisman finalist, and Ohio State product, Dwayne Haskins got the nod to start at quarterback, again.

In the 9 – 24 loss to Buffalo, Haskins completed 15 of 22 passes for 144 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions.

To break it down for you, Haskins was present for the game and had the opportunity to stand on the field. Not much else to say.

All of Washington’s points came courtesy of Dustin Hopkins’ leg, as he nailed three field goals to keep the Redksins from getting shutout.

The team has rotated from Case Keenum to Haskins a couple of times now, but neither seems to be the right fit for the team. Neither quarterback has the ability to lead this team to a win against a legitimate competitor.

The status quo clearly needs to be shaken up for this organization, and despite just drafting a quarterback in the first round, they may need to give it another go.

Haskins is panning out to be a quarterback that struggles in the professional atmosphere, and most definitely not a long-term fix for the team.

This is where Tagovailoa could step in and potentially be ‘the guy’ to solve their offensive issues – that is, if they are able to draft him early in the 2020 NFL Draft.
