Is there anything Notre Dame has shown its good at through its first two games? Well, we can see the punting and punt returning are pretty good, and the team is able to limit its penalties. We also can see the offense has been reliable in its few trips to the red zone, and the defense is able to get stops on fourth down. Other than that, it’s a whole lot of nothing for the Irish, which is why they’re 0-2.
California also has proven itself formidable at punting and discipline, but there’s more to the team than that. We see a defense that has been able to have stands in the red zone and on third down as well as keep points off the board. We also see an offense that can hold onto the ball for a while. Are we sure that the Irish’s first win will be a given against this team?
