It’s nice to see Drew Pyne finally passing the 1,000-yard mark for the season. Now, we really can say he’s just like many of the other quarterbacks in college football this season. Of course, Notre Dame is going to need more than that from him if it’s going to pull off an unexpected victory at Syracuse. This and the upcoming game with Clemson might show just how much out of his league he is against top opponents.
The Orange’s Garrett Shrader can be place in the category of just a little better than Pyne, at least through the air. The ground is where he shines just as much, if not more. As you can see from this chart, he carries the ball nearly four times as often as Pyne and actually scores touchdowns, so the Irish’s defense will need to be prepared for any and all possibilities with him. Best of luck to [autotag]Al Golden[/autotag] with coming up with a game plan to stop Shrader.
