Notre Dame fans presently are seeing something out of their team’s offense they haven’t seen much before, if at all. The unit looks like something out of this world, at least against teams that play at different levels or are otherwise inferior. It’s unlikely the offense can keep this pace up the entire season, especially when the heavy hitters come up on the schedule. Still, anyone from the fan base who claims they aren’t impressed by what’s been going on is blatantly lying, either to you or to themselves.
NC State is said to be the program that will give the Irish’s offense the most trouble thus far. Its defense held UConn to 14 points, but that only can be taken with a grain a salt given the opponent and how early it is in the season. We’ll see how that translates against an Irish team that seemingly continues to improve.
