The other Florida player drafted in this mock was forward Keyontae Johnson. A dynamic power forward, he was projected to be the cornerstone of the Gators’ offense in 2020-2021. Some even anticipated that he could parlay that performance into a lottery pick.
Everyone knows the rest of the story. A terrifying cardiac event that sidelined him in the Gators’ second game kept him out of the action for the remainder of the season. Without considerable game film from last season or much publicly available information about his health status, it’s difficult to tell what his future holds.

However, if there is reason to believe that he could have a future in competitive basketball by the time the draft rolls around, some team may take a gamble on him. In the ESPN mock, that team was Sacramento. Having taken most of the season off to recover, he’ll be rusty and probably benefit from spending time in the G League next season, should he turn pro. If everything clicks, though, he’ll make the team who drafts him very happy.
The two Gators in this draft class who wouldn’t hear their name called if this mock draft came to fruition are Scottie Lewis and Colin Castleton. Lewis, who hired an agent and thus ended his NCAA eligibility, will be forced to sign on as a free agent if he is undrafted. Castleton, on the other hand, is expected to return to the program and is simply treating the draft cycle as a networking opportunity.
