Hugh Freeze and Auburn are red-hot right now.

[autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and the Auburn Tigers stayed hot on the recruiting trail Saturday, landing a commitment from four-star cornerback [autotag]Jalewis Solomon[/autotag].

Solomon is the younger brother of Auburn defensive lineman [autotag]Zykevious Walker[/autotag] and picked the Tigers over South Carolina, Florida State, Texas A&M and Kentucky.

He is the fourth blue-chip recruit Auburn has added in the past 10 days, giving them 15 total commitments and the No. 16 ranked class in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Solomon joins a loaded secondary class that includes four-star cornerbacks [autotag]A’Mon Lane[/autotag], [autotag]Jayden Lewis[/autotag], [autotag]Jalyn Crawford[/autotag] and safety [autotag]Kensley Faustin[/autotag].

His addition fired up the Auburn fanbase which took to social media to celebrate, here are their top reactions.

4-star athlete Jalewis Solomon puts Auburn in top 5

Auburn is firmly in the mix for the talented two-way player.

Four-star athlete [autotag]Jalewis Solomon[/autotag] has had an Auburn offer for over a year now but he has recently become a priority.

The Ellaville, Georgia, native was in Auburn for a 7-on-7 tournament and his performance drew the attention of secondary coaches [autotag]Zac Etheridge[/autotag] and [autotag]Wesley McGriff[/autotag] as well as head coach [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag].

The interest is mutual as he included the Tigers in his top five schools Monday night on Twitter. They will be battling FSU, Kentucky, Texas A&M and South Carolina for him.

He is the No. 200 overall player and No. 16 athlete in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the No. 28 player from Georgia.

Auburn is the only one of his finalists that he hasn’t officially visited but he has visited the Plains several times and will likely officially visit during the season. He is also the younger brother of defensive lineman [autotag]Zykevious Walker[/autotag].

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder has starred on both sides of the ball for Schley County High School but Auburn is recruiting him as a defensive back.

He caught 86 passes for 1,210 yards and 10 touchdowns in 14 games. As a corner, he made 29 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and broke up four passes.

Auburn DB target Jalewis Solomon can see himself playing for Wesley McGriff

The Tigers are making moves with one of the top athletes in the country.

Four-star athlete [autotag]Jalewis Solomon[/autotag] was in Auburn last week but the two-way player decided to return Monday for an unofficial visit.

“I’ve been wanting to come back ever since we had that 7-on-7,” Solomon told Rivals’ Caleb Jones. “I promised them that I’d come back either Monday or Tuesday. I’ve been wanting to come back ever since that day.”

While the Ellaville, Georgia product has been to the Plains several times, this was his mom’s first trip.

Solomon is listed as an athlete and some schools are recruiting the 6-foot-1, 190-pounder as a wide receiver but [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and cornerbacks coach [autotag]Wesley McGriff[/autotag] are recruiting him at corner and nickel.

McGriff is his primary recruiter and someone that Solomon is building a strong relationship with and can see himself playing for.

“He just loves getting all his freshmen on the field, getting them time to play and just how he strives to get whatever his players want,” Solomon said of McGriff. “He’ll always put a smile on your face whenever you need it.”

Rivals ranks him as the No. 143 overall player and No. 24 wide receiver. They also have him as the No. 18 player from Georgia.

Ona advantage Auburn has is defensive lineman [autotag]Zykevious Walker[/autotag], who is Solomon’s brother.

Solomon included Auburn in his top 11 schools and his next step will be trimming that list down to five before making a commitment.
