UCLA football finalist for four-star linebacker

This would be a big get.

UCLA football is a top choice for one of the best linebackers in the class of 2025. Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, a four-star linebacker from Bethel, Washington, has whittled down his list of potential landing spots to three teams.

Rainey-Sale, who the Bruins offered back in April, is the fourteenth-ranked linebacker in the country and the overall number-one player in Washington state. In a battle with Florida State and his home state, University of Washington, the Bruins have some stiff competition. That said, with the Bruins’ recent success developing players on the defensive side of the ball, the Bruins stick out as a college with the ability to churn out NFL talent.

Rainey-Sale’s interest in the Bruins is a welcome sign. Despite negative press regarding their recruiting rank, UCLA still has the potential to land some high-level players. If the Bruins can earn a commitment from Rainey-Sale, their 2025 team could be stacked in Deshaun Foster’s second season as head coach.
